Stainless steel honeycomb panels consist of a brushed or mirror-finish stainless steel sheet for the surface, a galvanized steel sheet for the back, and an aluminum honeycomb core, all bonded together with a special adhesive.
Main features of stainless steel honeycomb panels: lightweight and low installation load;
Large area per panel, extremely high flatness, not easily deformed, and high safety factor;
Excellent sound insulation and thermal insulation performance;
Low cost and high quality, cheaper than 2mm stainless steel single-layer panels, but with a higher flatness than 3mm stainless steel single-layer panels;
Stainless steel honeycomb panels have strong corrosion resistance;
Stainless steel honeycomb panels have excellent performance and obvious advantages. It boasts high specific bending stiffness and strength, meaning it’s lightweight and high-strength; excellent flatness, meeting the requirements for large partitions in building curtain walls, achieving excellent architectural aesthetics with minimal building components; a variety of surface treatments are available; excellent fire resistance; good sound absorption, sound insulation, heat insulation, and shock absorption; and good environmental friendliness, being recyclable. The back panel of the metal honeycomb panel can be selected according to customer requirements. The commonly used back panel is anodized aluminum sheet, with the surface treated by anodizing. The side exposed to air should be coated with a protective coating, such as polyester, epoxy, or acrylic, to prevent corrosion of the aluminum sheet due to long-term exposure to air.
These characteristics of stainless steel honeycomb panels make it one of the fastest-growing materials in terms of usage.
